Contest Entry: Kae

This is my entry for the In the Element contest for !

I've been working on this thing for months... and it's FINALLY DONE!

Kae is my avatar OC, and I've been stalking this poor group for a while and just joined today... *facepalm* Shoulda done that a LOOOONG time ago... like when I started this for their contest, .

"Kyung!" Kae called happily, pulling on the arms of the other Dai Li as she focused on one... the one with the piercing green eyes... her brother.
"You know this girl, Kyung?" Long Feng asked one of his most talented Dai Li, circling him like a predator. "Admit to it!"
"No," he said softly, pleading with his eyes for his adopted sister to stop... but her clothes, her hair... why was she dressed like a Joo Dee?
"No, huh?" Long Feng clicked his tongue in disappointment. "I wanted to remind you, Kyung, that we are the SECRET police of Ba Sing Se, and our duty is to protect this great city... isn't that right?"
"Y-yes sir."
"So having a girl knowing about our location would be bad... right Kyung? What do you suggest we do?"
Kyung didn't say anything, his rock gloves swirling at his sides.
"I think she needs to take a trip to Lake Laogai," Long Feng decided, his teeth showing in a wicked grin.
"No!" Kyung turned and attacked Long Feng, his rock glove grabbing at his face, then quickly bended some of the rocks beneath them into the two who were holding his sister captive. "Run K-" and then a hushed silence filled the corridors as her brother's lifeless body hit the floor.
"There will be no rebellion here, Ba Sing Se is at peace." Long Feng's eyes flashed to the girl who was frozen with fright.
Kae then broke her paralysis and ran to her brother's body, pulling off his hat and crying into his shoulder, her hair falling loose and thick around her. "K-Kyung..." she sobbed, pulling on his uniform and begging for him to move, to get up, to run...
But when she heard Long Feng ask for the Joo Dees to come and take her away, she stood, donning her brother's hat which had shielded her eyes. A great power had suddenly pulled at her hands, and she positioned them just right around her face, aiming at Long Feng.
"What is this? What are you doing?!" her tears slowly evaporated off of her face and the air around her slowly dried. "Water bender," Long Feng's eyes widened as Kae's did.
"Die," she whispered, and flicked her fingers forward as her tears became icicles and threw themselves at the man who had destroyed everything she knew and loved.
